In brief

- We collect only what you send us through a form or by email, and what any web server records when a page loads.
- We use it to reply to you, to send The Brief if you asked for it, and to consider applications. We never sell it or use it for advertising.
- The IFRS 16 lease calculator and the audit-readiness diagnostic run in your browser. What you enter in them never reaches us.
- You can ask to see, correct, or erase your data, or withdraw consent, by writing to [aditya@soniassociates.in](mailto:aditya@soniassociates.in).

## 01 Who is responsible

Soni Aditya & Associates, Chartered Accountants, Office No. 502, Unit 507, 5th Floor, 45 Baner Street, Baner, Pune, Maharashtra 411045, India, decides why and how the personal data described in this policy is processed, and is the data fiduciary for it under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

We do not ask for sensitive personal data through this website. Please do not send documents, or personal data about other people, through a form; we will arrange a secure way to share them.

## 03 Tools that run in your browser

The [IFRS 16 lease calculator](https://soniassociates.in/ifrs-16-lease-calculator) and the [audit-readiness diagnostic](https://soniassociates.in/audit-readiness-diagnostic) calculate on your own device. The figures, answers, and reports they produce are not sent to us or stored by us, and they disappear when you close the page unless you save a report yourself.

## 04 Consent

Where we rely on your consent, we ask for it clearly: the enquiry form has a consent box, and subscribing to The Brief is itself a request to receive it.

You can withdraw consent at any time by writing to [aditya@soniassociates.in](mailto:aditya@soniassociates.in), or by replying to any issue of The Brief. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we did with your data before, and we may keep what the law requires us to keep.

## 05 Who else handles your data

A small number of service providers handle personal data so that this website can work:

- **Form delivery:** FormSubmit, for the enquiry and subscription forms, and Web3Forms, for career applications, pass what you submit to our email.
- **Email:** our email service provider stores the messages we send and receive.
- **Hosting:** our website hosting provider serves the pages and keeps server logs.
- **Fonts:** Google Fonts delivers the typefaces, and receives your IP address and browser details when a page loads.

Some of these providers process data outside India. We do not sell personal data or share it for advertising. We disclose it to others only where the law, a court, a regulator, or the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India requires it.

## 06 How we protect it

Access to personal data is limited to the people who need it, and it is protected with safeguards suited to its sensitivity. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If a breach affects your personal data, we will inform you and the Data Protection Board of India as the law requires.

## 07 Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can:

- ask what personal data we hold about you, and how it has been used;
- ask us to correct, complete, update, or erase it;
- withdraw consent you have given;
- nominate someone to exercise these rights if you die or become unable to; and
- raise a grievance with us, and, if our response does not resolve it, complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Some requests, such as erasure, may be limited where professional or legal obligations require us to keep records. If you live outside India, the law where you live may give you further rights, and we will respond under it where it applies.

## 08 Children

This website is not intended for children. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to contact us before you send us personal data. If we learn that we hold a child’s data without verifiable consent, we will delete it.

## 09 Cookies and tracking

We do not set cookies, and this website uses no analytics, advertising, or tracking tools. Apart from the form services when you submit a form, the only other service a page contacts is Google Fonts, described above.

## 10 Changes to this policy

When this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. If a change affects how we use data you have already given us, we will tell you before it takes effect.
